Networking Group

About QIAN

The Qian group has been operating since 1995. It provides a very friendly venue for members who are a group of current and ex telecommunications and associated industry executives with a history of working together.

The main activities apart from the appreciation of good food and wine is discussion of issues of mutual interest and routinely solving the problems of the world. The Qian group lunches are held five or six times a year at various BYO restaurants usually in and around North Sydney or in the inner west. The rules are very simple;

  • You RSVP a week before the lunch date.
  • You bring a bottle of wine of choice
  • You turn up around 12.30pm.

Mike Boyle was the long time organiser of the group and in part responsible for the Qian name as well as the success of the group over many years. Martin Barker took the reins from December 2019.
