Education
My university days were among the most memorable periods of my life so far, not necessary happy all the time, but the taste of freedom with no responsibilities, living on a shoestring budget, meeting new people, dating (unsuccessfully), ‘the’ trip to the Snowy and the graduation.

Career and Work
Then came the working life. Although financially rewarding, there were ups and downs both at work and family life. The birth of my two sons was a definite up.

Starting with Elevators P/L working on relay logics in lift operations for 18 months then joined Main Roads for 40 years until retirement. I was the second Electrical Engineer employed by DMR. My most exciting project was establishing two-way radio networks in the city and country offices. The best part of this job was I got to see the remote parts of NSW. Then, with the merge with DMT my work changed to managing traffic signal construction and maintenance. Neither of those fields involved my speciality of ‘power & control’ and the ‘autodyne’ (uni thesis).

I retired in 1998 and my life style was happily changed from daily office to enjoying doing the things my way.

Doing now and plans
Moved to WA with new wife Monika and started a Tai Chi school in Perth. It is not a good source of income but we can keep healthy with Tai Chi. We enjoy going to concerts, playing with our grandkids and travelling both locally and overseas. So far we had 3 tours in China, one to Hong Kong and another one to the Silk Road coming up next October.

We have a villa house which is our home and office. We welcome any friends visiting Perth to stay with us. Please book ahead.
