Ros_Ros_Maxine_Anne-Archibald Maxine_Pat_Ros_Framed

Ros, Ros, Maxeen, Pat and Anne on their almost annual pilgrimage to the Archibald Prize Exhibition at the Art Gallery of NSW.

Forget the main award and the Packer’s Prize they look like prize winners to me.

GHS About to Become Nonagenarian

GHS_Entrance_2018

Gosford High has had a bit of a spruce up mainly at the front as you can see above. Possibly getting ready for the 90th year celebrations. The ever vigilant Ros Mort has pointed out that  the 1928 on the front of school was the year the foundation stone was laid but March 11 1929 was the official opening. She is not sure which date they will celebrate.

Roslyn Wheeler suggested our group might be able to have a bit of an informal get together on the day that is selected to celebrate  the 90th.

If you want to see the fairly familiar innards of the school today their web site has some nice 360 degree virtual tours which you can see HERE.

The Retiring Bernie Goddard

A beautiful Christmas photo of Bernie Goddard and his granddaughters.

Bernie not only still has hair on his head it is not all white like most of us. It must be the healthy sandgroper lifestyle he has been leading.

Bernie has seen the light and says that in March he is retiring to go travelling – and about time too!
